07/28/2006: "Erin Update..."

This week has been an eventful one. David and I both drove from his house to my house to pack some boxes and make some repairs. First, we got the siding on our cars done. It was messy, but our cars look so much better. Also, the electricians and the heating/cooling people came and I have AC again!!! It's been so much better. The next job was the soap dish in the tub. Thanks to the crappy job that someone did putting it in, I leaned on it and it fell off. We tried to put it back on, but David didn't hold it long enough and it smashed in the tub. Luckily we were able to get another one (although it's not the baby blue of the old one). This time David did the whole duct tape trick... yes, getto, but it works until it dries.

And now, I continue to pack and have been preparing for a yard sale (Friday & Saturday). It's been a lot of work but hopefully it will help me pay for my moving truck. So I have been so busy... I know many of you have called and haven't gotten me. I'm so sorry. I've just been swamped and will try to return the calls as soon as possible.

One more week... I am so happy you both will be together finally!! Many years of waiting!!! Love you both with all my heart!! (a very nice job of repair of the tub!!)

I think of you all the time and hope you are hanging in. It will help just being in the same place and you will have each other to talk to, or yell at, when needed. I heard you had a nibble on a job? I just hope you can get one doing what you do best, and you do it best too. Tell them to call "hot mama" and I will tell them how good you are! I do like David's duck tape job. He and Kevin would get along just fine. You are in my prayers. Love you Nana

and just think... this "chapter" of your lives will be over soon and you will have a whole new chapter to start... "together" it has been a long road for you both. Good luck- we wish we could be there to help.
