08/08/2006: "She's growing up..."

Do you see it- something different about her...she got her ears pierced and is sporting a new pair of earrings. She picked them out all by herself (Matthews birthstone) and is looking mighty fine.

My goodness you are getting so big and more beautiful everyday! We need to spend a day with Sarah and Katie if possible before they go back to school! Weekends are better as soccer starts up next week!

There has been a change this summer. She has gotten taller, thined out and she looks different to me. But she is very conscious about getting bigger- she wants to stay little because we made the mistake of saying "Laney, you are getting so big and it breaks are heart!" She took it literally and now she says she just wants to stay little. Lots of changes these days, but boy it is going fast!
