08/20/2006: "My classroom..."

"Peace cannot be achieved through violence,
it can only be attained through understanding."

Here is my classroom. This year I am working with a "peace" theme.
I have a peace table, which is where students will do conflict resolution.
Here is my display Farley helped me with, sticks and stones may break my bones but words will break my heart.
I also have a bulletin board that describes the mediation steps called "Bridges to Understanding". I am still working on a cool project and will post when it is complete.

This looks like a great room for the kids but the person running it is the important piece of it. Without you there it wouldn't work. They are lucky kids to have you in their corner. Love Mom

You classroom is great- The kids must love coming to it. I like the Peace Table- I think every house should have one of those!!
