09/09/2006: "Skylights are in..."

skylights (155k image)

We got the new skylights Saturday. The are e-glass and flat so they should be more energy efficient and they let clearer light in (domes were amber tinted). The flashing will be replaced when the roof is put on. We now have to have the siding replaced (they have to walk on the roof) and then the roof will be fixed.

Bench- we moved the concrete bench into the extended garden area- will look nice when we get the decorative rocks down and the grasses grow bigger.

We had to move some lights around. The one in the den was too bright and hot so we replaced it with simplier light. It works fine.

We took the one from the den and put it in the kitchen. It makes it much brighter. We then added a dome above Bernard's table and pendant lights above the counter. We can now see to cook!

I has been busy but it feels good to get so much down. We have a long fall list as well.
