02/02/2007: "Phil Says Spring is Right Around the Corner!"

Phil's official forecast as read 2/2/07 at 7:28 a.m. at Gobbler's Knob:
El Nino has caused high winds, heavy snow, ice and freezing temperatures in the west.
Here in the East with much mild winter weather we have been blessed.
Global warming has caused a great debate.
This mild winter makes it seem just great.
On this Groundhog Day we think of one thing.
Will we have winter or will we have spring?
On Gobbler's Knob I see no shadow today.
I predict that early spring is on the way.

I've been enjoying the winter sports. Hockey is going really well, I'm learning a lot! I also just picked up snow boarding... it really hurts to learn that!

Unfortunately we have been enjoying the snow and doing a lot of sledding, but this week is just too cool. Now we have moved indoors and are swimming. Laney and I went the other day when Bob was taking a test. Usually she goes with her Dad when Mom has to work late, but I got her this weekend all to myself. What a fish!!

God knows I am happy! Thos cold is killing me neck so bad....and we have been lucky in NY as we are just seeing winter.....so shouldn't complain but.....with rods in your body you FEEL IT! Bring spring on I am ready!
