02/08/2007: "Snow...lots of snow!"

mapNY (26k image)
"A lot of people like snow. I find it to be an unnecessary freezing of water.

While the northern Plains and Northeast shiver in dangerously cold temperatures, the folks in upstate New York are keeping warm shoveling snow -- lots of snow. The snow is falling at a rate of 5 inches an hour at times. This has forced state police to temporarily close Interstate 81 between Central Square and Pulaski, a stretch of about 15 miles. (Looks like mom & dad got lucky).
Hey everyone- stay put, stay warm, drink lots of hot cocoa.

Yea, snow is staying North... Auburn is a black hole of percipitation... so it has not been to bad here. Just very cold.

Well Oswego had 6 feet last night got another 2 feet this morning and are suppose to have 10 feet before weekend is over! Glad it is there instead of here.....and to think it is only a little of an hour away! Just really tired of the cold.....only in the teens as is a lot of people but tired of it....oh well....

We are cold but have been lucky with the snow-tomorrow they are calling for ice or snow but I don't think it will be NEW YOrk levels. Mom and dad sure knew when to leave- I say, let's all go join them!
