03/12/2007: "Everything but the dress..."

Today I went on my interview (haven't done this in 12.5 years) I got nails (thanks Kelly, they looked great), I got new ear rings, I got a new hair curler, I bought a new purse (I have never owned a purse), I got new make-up and then got a new pants, shirt and jacket.

With the looks down- did I dazzle them with my brain- don't know as they seemed stuck on why I would leave a job after 12.5 years...the bad news, I'll be expensive to hire on the teachers scale, the good news I know before I have to sign my contract with Park Hill. We will see. I got a new outfit (and purse!) out of it.

It is so nice to feel like you're worth a million bucks, and new stuff, new nails, and a nice hairdo will do that! Glad you had fun looking your best and good luck! They would be silly to pass you up!

I have a call back from mine and go back this coming Monday. They said I am an extremely STRONG candidate! Keep your fingers crossed! I may have to get a new outfit now too... don't want to wear the same one!

Hope your interview went well- they would be crazy to pass you up. As for why would you leave after 12.5 years- play the "value add" card and show them the programs you provide and the services and that being an "Aide" takes away from this value add and is not really what you get paid to do.
