04/24/2007: "Earth Day..."

Our greatest untapped source of energy is still the energy we can conserve
by not using so much of it.

Well the site was down but I think we need to think about ways we can help, so I'm making a belated post...
* TURN DOWN THERMOSTAT
* TURN DOWN WATER-HEATER SETTING
* INSTALL 2 COMPACT-FLOURESCENT BULBS
* TURN OFF UNNEEDED LIGHTS
* INSTALL ENERGY-EFFICIENT LIGHTING AND/OR DIMMER SWITCHES
* CARPOOL
* WEATHERSTRIP WINDOWS AND DOORS
* IMPROVE HOME INSULATION
* TURN OFF TV

We actually did a few of these things... although we did it more from the standpoint of needed to save on our gas bill. We turned down the water heater a few notches (it was scalding before when water was on hot) and we also started hanging our washed clothes up to dry instead of using the dryer.
