05/21/2007: "My New Motorbike"

krissmotorbike1 (60k image)
Please let me introduce you to my new motorbike - it is a 600 cc Honda Shadow. Only had 1600 miles on it and it was sold to me at exactly what I wanted to spend. It is a used bike but in great condition. I have not ridden in traffic yet except around my neighborhood because I do not have a tag for it yet. I do have my license - passed all my tests etc. I will ride this for a few years and then trade up to a Harley Davidson but I do like this one. I am getting better and better on it everyday and Matty and Dee say - its really cool Mom!

Ok am i the coward here?? This scares me to death and i would not suggest riding in the DC area... those people are nuts! Watch out for the crazy drivers!!!! I guess its a good alternative with the gas prices. PLEASE be safe.

I like it too! Beautiful! Just be very careful! And one word of advice from an old coworker of mine that was a toothpick and had a harley... Never forget to put your feel down when you stop and hold firm! She tipped her bike at a stop once and couldn't get it back up again because she wasn't strong enough (and she was a serious rider)... they're heavy! This one looks like a good size though! Ride up to Richmond sometime!
