06/25/2007: "At the end of the day..."

We got some done this weekend- not as much as we would have like as it is HOT here and hard to work outside.
I took a pickup truck load of stuff to Goodwill. It is slowly coming together and we are slowly reducing the clutter.
I washed, waxed and detailed the car, it had been neglected and was so dirty- it took most of the day to clean it all. Now I do not want to drive it and get it dirty!
We trimmed the tree last weekend and this weekend I cut up all the branches to burn in the chimenea. It is nice to sit at night, try a cocktail and watch the fire- relaxing!
We also had a truck load of black mulch that we put in the flower gardens. See the mulch around the tree above.

It's never ending- I work all summer just to keep up with my house- I worked all yesterday on the barn and it looks like I didn't even make a dent (I did but I wanted to finish). I get to go back out today when all I really want to do is relax, read, scrapbook or something fun.

I hope to get done that much stuff on my week off next week. My problem is my kid wants to stay home and swim and I don't get done the things I need to- can you come here and watch her so I can be productive too! Wouldn't that be great- you could spend time with Laney and I could actually see some improvement with my projects!
