01/17/2008: "Random Thoughts..."

* I have been under the weather for about a week- the one part of winter I don't like, too many germs.

"There is more to life than increasing its speed."

* I started teaching at UMKC last night- 20 students in my class (full)
* It is snowing here tonight- again- should get 4-6 inches
* Joann moved today
* Finally got my new disk burner
The DRX-840U External USB 2.0 SuperMulti DVD Burner from Sony supports 8.5 GB dual layer DVD burning, as well as support for standard 4.7 GB DVD media. The drive features a high-speed USB 2.0 interface, allowing you to connect it to almost any computer. This summer I plan to back up all my photos- the new dual layer holds the eqivalent of 7 DVD's.

We had the first snow of the season for us last night, and now it is cold and raining... YUCK! I haven't been feeling great either, but I think it is from the recent cold weather. We go from 60, to 50, to 70, to 40, to 60, to SNOW! That will do it! Hope you feel better and can't wait to hear how you like your burner!

I've been busy too- especially with work. It's that time of year and it seems like time just flies. We haven't had too much snow lately, but it has been getting colder- time to stay in and do indoor projects.
