Thanks for all the good wishes. I had a great birthday. Katie came over on Saturday to watch Laney so Bob and I went out for a fantastic dinner with Trish and Jim. Then we had a crazy Sunday with lots of running, but it ended up being a lot of fun. It started with Ice Cream cake for breakfast (I told everyone I was going to eat cake and ice cream all day- nothing else) so Bob and Laney started the day off right. Then Bob made eggs benedict- it was delicious. Then Delaney had a birthday party, then ice skating lessons (which she is doing great- she amazes me how quickly she picks stuff up- she just goes for it), then we had another birthday party. Then we went back to the first birthday party because it was a sledding party, but we didn't get to go earlier because we had to go to skating lessons. So back we went to brave the 7degree day and we had a lot of fun. Then I had a beer and Laney played for a while longer. Then we grabbed a sandwich and a few movies, went home turned on the fire and snuggled on the couch and then in bed to get warm. I got great gifts, lots of kisses and had lots of fun. What a day to start being 40! I think I proved "Mid-age my a$$!" Thanks again for all the good wishes and the calls (if I missed them). Love you all!
