02/14/2008: "Beth is moving to NH!"

My new company is called Nomad Communications/Nomad Press and is located in VT on the border of NH. I will most likely look for a place to live in NH, since there is no state or sales tax there. I met with them when I took my snowboarding vacation up there. I didn’t really expect a job this soon, but they had an opening, so I’m taking it! I’ve been keeping my eye on the job market up there and there isn’t a lot of designer jobs. Much less in an advertising/marketing agency, which is where I wanted to get back to in my career. I miss the challenges and variety that come with it. So, I move at the end of this month. I’m going to put my stuff into storage and temporarily stay with this guy and his girlfriend. They live like 45 min from my work, but it’ll just be until I can find my own place to live (housing market isn’t what it is in DC). It’ll be good to have someone to talk to and they said they’ll introduce me to their friends! Yeah Friends! Now I’ll be able to snowboard, camp, hike and play hockey! I’m very excited!

I hope you will like that part of the cou try. Nobody has gone that direction so it will be fun to see what they have to offer. I hope the job will give you what you like to do and you enjoy it. Good luck and keep everyone posted. Love Nana

This takes guts- go for it! I love your adventure! The moving part sucks but goes along with it. Keep us updated.
