03/12/2008: "Photography 101: Amazing Birthday Photos"

As I opened my Creating Keepsakes newsletter today, there was another article on photography so I thought I would share for all those who like snapping away when they can. This has tips in it for taking low light pictures so that you can capture those amazing birthday candle shots. I know I am always trying to learn more when it come to my camera, so I thought others might enjoy too.

I have been looking at that one too! I got the 80mm f/1.8, but you have to stand pretty far out to use it. I'm wondering if I should have gotten the 50mm instead. I haven't had much time to play with it though. I wish you were here so that you, Linda and I (and my mom) could do another photo journey. That was fun when we did that in KC. If you do get the lens, let em know how you like it. I will probably wait until my birthday or next Christmas to get another lens. I want to become a no flash photographer so bad... I think it just captures the mood better sometimes.

I am currently looking at a 50mm 1.4 lens- sweet and works here! Now I just need the cash to pay for it, a little pricey but worth it.
