05/27/2008: "Sign - Similar, yet different"

brickoven-2 (22k image)

brickoven-3 (23k image)

I took Nana's advide on using an archway like an oven (although it does not look like brick, but brick will be difficult to duplicate on embroidered shirts), and I added some wheat grass like she wanted. I will play around more with some other fonts and ideas later when I have more time. I also tried simulating bricks graphically along the bottom of one... it gives the idea in a simplistic way that can be reproduced on shirts, etc without too much detail. The color came out looking white, but I think it would look sharp in a cream color with the deep, rustic red.

I like these. The wheat looks cool. I don't know if poppy has seen them. We are making great progress because you know what you are doing!!!. I do like these. The second one has a grid on the bottom that looks like the windows in the front of the building. Thanks Ers. You are GOOD. Nana

Of course, I can try reversing the colors on these to be like the other one so that it is cream text on a red background.
