05/28/2008: "More signs - font changes"

I'll be honest, I like the original font I used best because it is classic, yet fun feeling because it is fat, and very easy to read. The worst thing you can do is get a font that is tough to read driving by. I can't tell you the amount of times I have gone by something and said, "What the heck does that say?" But, as per Poppy's request I am going to try some other fonts and hope to hear what everyone thinks. Don't be afraid to chime in... in my world there is no bad feedback. Be honest... this is for something BIG!

ELEPHANT: My personal pick (shown before).

PAPYRUS: This one looks like the feeling of brick, but may be difficult to duplicate on shirts.

BRUSH SCRIPT: This one uses the same font as the "Clyde" and turned out rather nice.

ALGERIAN: Not sure on this one.

BICKHAM SCRIPT: A little bit fancier.

IMPRINT: classic and simple.

Sorry for so many posts, but this is the best way to get the feedback we need and to show everyone. I think it is agreed that everyone likes the brick archway... which colors? Red text on white or white text on red. I prefer the white on the red arch, but it could depend on the application and they may want to use it both ways depending on where it is placed. I think the red text on the white arch will look fantastic on menus backed in that red, but I like the white text on the red for everything else and looks more like brick.

Here's another designer tip for ya... colors can induce feelings and any variation of red induces hunger. Look at most restaurant logos and what do you see? Pizza Hut - Red, Duncan Donuts - Orange/Pink. This is why I love this business! There is so much more that goes into simple designs that you would think.

I think the Bickham Script one is very nice too (one of my favs), if they want a fancier look. I think my mom liked that one too. I also think the Imprint looks great. My mom said Nana liked the idea of using the lowercase letters, so I may try some more soon. The Bickham Script looks nice with a lower case "B" as well.

Tough choice.... but I like different things about the Algerian, Bickham Script, and Imprint. Depends on the look he's going for.
