05/30/2008: "Choosing a Logo/Font info"

I subscribe to a great design resource and wanted to share it here. Please do not share as you are supposed to pay for it. Go Here. Here's a small excerpt from the beginning:

"A good logo is a company’s signature; it’s a distinctive way of writing its name. Some logos include graphics, but most do not. A good logo is bold, clear and attractive, and it conveys an appropriate sense of the company. These qualities can be difficult to combine in one word."

I thought this would be important to share since we are choosing a typeface that needs to represent the FEELING of the restaurant... fancy/elegant, casual, trendy, old, industrial, urban, fun, artsy, jazzy, glamour, funky, etc. If you like some of the fonts used in there, I can try to find them or find something similar. This is rather important because it sets the tone for the restaurant before people even walk in.

I just thought this would be good to share.
