My dad's sticky buns or homefries would be a great brunch item too! Doesn't La have an awesome Buttermilk pancake recipe (a whole grain option is good to offer too)? And offering some of our cookies in a display is a great way to let people take dessert to go! Love those Italian cookies (who doesn't)!

I also love the greens & beans with escarole from Nona's in Geneva... great side item or served over pasta. It's not easy to find and I love it! A shrimp scampi pasta is always popular, as well as Italian classics... chicken parm, lasagnia, manicotti, ravioli (love when you can find mushroom ones), baked ziti, and some different pizzas would be cool. We always love BBQ chicken pizza and you can't get that in Clyde I bet.

And of course, some good chicken wings! Ummm, a lot of people like tater skins, mozz sticks, quesadillas, bruchetta, and spinach/artichoke dip for apps.

And for sandwiches, I love paninis and I already mentioned a rueben, but a classic chicken sandwich and Hamburg usually make the list.

And the big thing now is a signature drink that restaruants offer. Maybe we need a Clyde something-or-other-drink. Or maybe Bob needs to start making his Bob's beer again and make it a brewery! LOL! DO you still make any Bob? That was so cool when you did.

I like the idea of Eggs Benedict for a breakfast entree and love Erin's shaped pancake idea. I am a waffle girl. (pecan waffles)I would love to see pudding cake on the menu because no one has ever had it and it's different yet yummy. Mom makes some way delish scones... Her pasta sauce of course.... napa cabbage is always good. I love Erin's idea for seasonal treats like pumpkin roll as a dessert. I will have to think more on the food. Italian frosting rocks for any chocolate cake that may be offered. I guess some of Mom's famous recipes, or maybe Mama's onion ring recipe. Oh my... so much to think about! It's making me hungry. Oh yes... those wonderous butterscotch cookies too! Let's just hope we get a good cook with a great sense of humor!

What about preserving the history of people who were great cooks... maybe have something that came from our dear friend Mary Steve, or something from Heddy Bittle or something. I don't know if Angelo had anything or not, but it might be kind of a neat way to preserve their memories and great food! Just a thought.

I think it would be great to have our family favs... obviously the pasta sauce is a must, but maybe take some other recipes that are special to our family. It might be funny to have ugly pie on the dessert list, only because it sounds so rediculous! I think the restaurant could make it much more pretty too. What type of food will there be? Just Italian or across the board? Potato Casserole is wonderful... maybe a brunch item. Salads are great to have many of: Nappa Cabbage... so delish! And maybe a garden, ceasear, and I have a mock-Italian salad that we loved down here that we cloned from a place that no longer serves it. Ummm, a rueben gets my vote if there is a sandwich section. Oh, and something David and I love getting when we can find them is sweet-potato french fries! You can't find them everywhere, but man are they good... and different than most restaurants. Let's give people some unique and delish stuff that they will want to drive for. I will keep thinking...

I think we are going with the first, mainly because it is revishing! Actually, it is because it is more readable from a distance as some of you have said. We agree. Thanks for all the input and for Erin for the work. She is good. What would you all like to see served in a restaurant? We would like to have ideas of what people like to order. Mom

I like the first one myself, but I think it is only because of the read-ability factor on a sign. Thanks for everyone's input! It's nice to kow that the logo kinda came from everyone with the comments and feedback that made it what it is. Thank you!

I like the second one better. Talented girls i have! Great job Lu.

I like them both, probably the second one better. But having said that, if this will be a sign seen from the street, the first one stands out better! Nice job on both!

These where mu 2 favorites but number 2 is my favorite- a little touch of class...although harder to reproduce on a shirt...nice job!

I like them both too, but I'm gonna have to say the second one..there's just something about it :-P

kate said on Sunday, June 1st @ 11 :10 AM CST

i think they both are ravishing but i personally like the first one better. but they both will look great.

I like the second row of bricks- now it really gives the look of bricks. I like the font on the second one, but if you are doing shirts I think the first one might look better for that type of stuff.
