06/01/2008: "What steps are you taking?"

text9871_4 (127k image)
We’re all taking steps in life - some big... some small...
if we’re not taking any steps, we’re simply standing still.

* Karen is teaching (2 classes at UMKC), working(6 private clients + Saturday class), 3 more days of school (Park Hill) so I can start major projects at home (garage, barn, ceilings, den). Organization and simplification here I come!

* Linda has a ruptured disk in her back and is on workman's comp- she hates it...makes her have to slow down, that just means now I can keep up with her.

* Poppy's opening a restaurant and hitting holes in one!

* Delaney is dancing!

* Kameron is playing some butt kicking baseball!

* What are you doing?

Leave it to you Luce, "Are you getting Penzie's?" That cracked me up! I am glad you are all settled in Beth and wish i could meet Chris but i have actual work time this weekend.. YAY for me! Erin.. Don't worry La, I am so totally there! Need to talk with my mom and find out when we can come again, but Penzies is certainly always a place a like to visit. I will need to reload soon! We can't keep the gralic salt, adobo, chili powder, greek seasoning, vanilla sugar, or northwoods stocked!

Or come visit Kansas City where they have a Penzey's!

Are you at least getting Penzies spices? I am so addicted to them. I wish we had one here. You can always order online though, which we do occasionally.

Ahh, so jealous of the Wii, but I'm too poor to spend money on one. Especially after I spent money making my veggie garden, front garden, back garden, house plants and porch pot plants! Jeez, that adds up when you are doing it from scratch! As does everything else when you move. Buying all new groceries, spices, etc. But, it really makes the place so cute. I'm loving that I finally have my own place with my stuff to settle down and be comfortable. NH is where to do it. I love this area, and I still have not explored it fully!

This weekend my new boyfriend (Chris) and I are going to see my Aunt Sue in Lake George to celebrate our birthdays. That should be fun and relaxing, I'm excited to see her new house! Next weekend we are going to Boston for a concert and I'll see my Uncle Brian too! It's nice having family nearby, they are both about 2.5 hours away.

I have Wii Fit- the board KNOWS how much you weigh and it makes noises like OWW when you step on it. I'm not sure I think it will get you fit but it is fun.

We are still waiting to hear back on the house. I am working like crazy and preparring to hit the 30's running, which means better eating and working out. So far that just means walking the pup together, but we are thinking about getting a Wii for my birthday with Wii Fit. Come to find out, they are impossible to find and everyone wants one. Oh well, someday... I did pick up the Weight Watchers cookbook this weekend and it looks AWESOME! Picked it up at Target, along with Squeeky Green: The Method Guide to Detoxing Your Home. It's by the guys who created Method cleaning products, which I love because they are natural and safe. I use their dish-washing soap and their window cleaner. Haven't tried any others until my current stash of cleaners is used up. There is a company called Seventh Generation that I like too and use.

Received information from our negotiations- we will receive a 9.19% raise next year and 6.65% the following year- not bad.

I am no longer the treasure of SSWAM- down to just the web page (will still do the conference till September).
