06/05/2008: "Dessert Idea for Restaurant"

Desserts (18k image) 4974Ci4 (15k image)

Last night David and I took one of his collegues to dinner and we decided to indulge in a little dessert. They had full size options or something that looked like these (pictured above). Ours were in little square shapped shot glasses and they were only $1.50 each or $7.50 for all 5 kinds. I, of course being a Gemini and not being able to make my mind up, had to try three of them. BUT, when it's only a few bites, it's easy to do and doesn't give you a sugar overload and won't kill your diet (well, unless you do several like I did). I immediately thought of the restaurant. I did a search online and these are becomming more popular. The restuarant last night offered a chocolate ecstacy (chocolate cake layered with choclate pudding, topped with fudge - I'm thinking Montezuma Mud Pie on this one), a peanut butter pie (peanut butter mouse, chocolate pudding, and a oreo cookie layered on the bottom, and a strawberry cheesecake (grahm cracker bottom and layers of cheesecake and strawberry). They were delicious! And with all the pudding options, I immediately thought of our pudding cake! It would be perfect in these! They also had a carrot cake layered one and another berry one. I just thought it was a great idea and had to share. They were called Mini Tasters. There's always room for dessert with these!

LOVE the idea... maybe make them like pudding cake! You are just the girl with the ideas... my marketing woman! ~smooch~

They have these at PF Changs and they are very good. It is a good idea because they are small so you get a little treat but not so many calories. Nana
