06/13/2008: "Randy Pausch a must see..."

"We can not change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand."

Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch, who is dying from pancreatic cancer, gave his last lecture at the university Sept. 18, 2007, before a packed McConomy Auditorium. In his moving talk, "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams," Pausch talked about his lessons learned and gave advice to students on how to achieve their own career and personal goals. He was given 6 months to live- it's now been 9... the cancer is spreading and he is having more difficulty but still has his positive outlook on life. You can keep up with his progress at Randy Pausch's update page.
His lecture was turned into a book... "The Last Lecture" which I am starting to read (finished my other book last night). I am also using this in my death and dying class. His lecture is wonderful to see so I have included it here:
