07/03/2008: "The brick oven..."

Once the STOETZEL's restaurant and bakery (1886-87), the brick oven has been restored and is the reason behind the name. Poppy is redoing the building, keeping the historic qualities like the tin tile ceiling, the wall design, the bar, the old cold storage, right down to the door knobs. As the walls and floors and doors get worked on, we can't wait to see Poppy's Place open so we can toast the wonderful occasion!

The pictures are great. It is fun to watch the progress. It won't be long now.Pray that we find a good cook and that the liquer license goes thru quickly. Mom
