08/05/2008: "A BIG Thank You..."

Well Linda and I made it home (small delay) but safe and sound.
We wish to extend a big thank you to all for the birthday dinners, cakes, cards, hugs & kisses, gifts and love. Linda had a great birthday and we had a nice visit home.
We were glad to see (almost) everyone.
Though it was quick, nothing like family love to see you through a new year (I start school today for kindergarten screening and full time Thursday). Seems everything is quick these days, back to school, vacation, summer...
We arrived back to HOT weather...today...

Pray we don't melt...

It was a short trip but we did some very nice things. Dinner Friday night was very good, Linda's cake was VERY good, thanks Sue. Sunday's picnic was very, very, very, good and was nice a restful, thanks Kay and Bob. Thanks for coming and spending some time with all of us. Love you both, Mom

Wow! Are you feeling "Hot, hot, hot"? Glad you got home and I got to catch up with you. We don't talk as much as we used to, but I know we are both busy. I miss ya and glad you got to see the fam. I am super dissappointed that our weekends got mixed up... would have loved to see you and Linda.

You do the best you can with what you got- short trip, just not enough time and no matter what we did- it still wasn't enough time. And you know- I will always miss my mom! This time I had to do it while PMSing! I got two new frames this evening to decorate my room at school so the pictures you gave me of Delaney and the pictures of the family will work great. I had kindergarten testing tonight...I listened to all the questions and just keep seeing Delaney there answering, hard to believe that will be soon.I miss her already!

Sorry I didn't catch up to you yet. Long day yesterday and still not feeling great- starting to get the sore spots. we are so glad you came to see us. Sorry there was so much going on. I wished I could have gotten your hair appts on Thursday so you could have spent more time with Mom. We did have some good food and some good laughs. Oh and we just realized that we never gave Linda her card- Bob just pulled it out of the box on the side of the refrigerator. Boy are we a class act- we didn't even give you the card. Glad you made it home ok (with the cutting board in 1 piece). You will be happy to know that we have had terrible weather all night tonight- so the good stuff was only here when you were! Talk to you soon- don't work to hard this week!

Rereading this makes it seem like we weren't glad to see some and what I meant was we saw almost everyone except Sarah- wish we could have. We were glad to see everyone! Words are funny things!
