08/12/2008: "HEART and Determination"

After an embarrasing loss to norway in the opening match of the group stages the US womens national soccer team has bounced back. Beating Japan 1-0 and Defeating new zealand 4-0 today. The US needed a 4 goal diffrential with Norway but after norway lost to Japan today 4-1 the US secured the group and got out of playing a very tough brazialian team in the quarter finals..Although the games to start very early..ive been getting up at 5 am and 745 am to watch the games and they are very well played matches so if you get up and cant find anything to watch flip on the channel these girls are role models to all and they are some good freaking soccer players. They face Canada on august 15 at 6 am i will be at the beach but i will be up routing on the red white and blue. GO USA

oh and how about micheal phelps?? what an athlete

They aren't too bad- they took home gold. Can't wait to see Mattie at the Olympics. Train hard and you can do it!

If Michael Phelps can do what he did, you can do it too. If you make the Olympics, we will all be there to watch, no matter where it is. I may mortgage the house to get there but I will be there. You go Tildie. I love you, Nana

Mattie- Wish I was there rooting on with you!Wouldn't it be great to see you playing with 'em! Phelps won his 11th Gold last night can you believe it?! How about the girls gymnasts- not bad, not bad... I though they all did well but the Chinese just had that little bit of somethin'.
