Looks like upstate New York beat everyone for the first snow...keep warm and bring out the hot chocolate!

We have no snow... YAY! Although they said the mountains have gotten some because we have been colder than usual for this time of year. Bundle up folks... looks to be a cold and snowy one this year.

Um, excuse me very much... Upstate NY did not beat NH and VT to snow. Snow fell here as well yesterday, and a little last week, and up in the mountains of VT & NH, we got snow weeks ago! No accumulation yet at my house, but I've seen a lot on cars driving around and I'm in the Valley.

Got my flu shot at the hospital yesterday my arm is killing me today. Didn't get one last year as my first year at hospital got one and was sick my entire first year there. Didn't do it last year and decided to this year as I have a long haul from winter to spring with no sick or vacation time with new job so hoping by getting it hopefully ahead of the game provided the right strain of the flu vacination matches what is going to go around. Time will tell!

And then it is supposed to be 65 again on Friday for Halloween- by November we will all be sick! Oh well, we do live in NY. This should be expected.

Neither did Geneva but Penn Yan got it bad, Uttica got over a foot, areas of southern tier (Ithaca got some) think it was hit and miss. Someone said coming through Newark this morning hit some.....
