11/03/2008: "What's up..."

We saw the move- The Secret Life of Bees- It was a great movie and a fantastic book (bring tissue).

* The Chiefs self-destructed in the fourth quarter and lost 30-27 in overtime to Tampa Bay today at Arrowhead Stadium. We don't watch because it is comical- to think some of these guys make millions- here's what's wrong with the economy!

* Changed some rotating pictures and am working on updating birthday pictures...as always, a work in progress.

* Kelly starts her new job today- have a great day!

* Finished decorating the den. Still have trim and door to work on but the room, desk and bookshelves are back together. We have the new desk and picture, bookselves and mirror on the wall (this was on the hearth but looked good with the brown colors, splash of color).

* My 11 year old car got new brakes, rotors, tires, windsheild wipers and an oil change- runs like new!

* New Christmas music is coming out- I got Melissa Etheridge and Yo Yo Ma (cello)- one rock, one classical- both very good!

* Nana has been under the weather. Give her a call to cheer her up.

* Maybe this Chocolate Delight will help!

Kenny has been sick but finally went to the Dr. he has started his JV coaching and is extremely busy. Kelsie is trying to get over her cough but is progressively getting there. She is doing very well in school and her teacher is very proud of her!Kameron is full swing into Modified Basketball and has his 2nd game on Friday. Home @ 4 in Savannah. I hope you are all doing well and getting your jets going for the holidays Lord knows we all have to pace ourselves.

I had my second hockey game. We lost, so now we are 1-1. I didn't play nearly as terrible as I normally do, I almost scored a goal. Almost.

I didn't get a chance to ask about the job yesterday as you were talking to your dad about voting but I hope it went well. It will take a while to get into how they do things there. It does have to be great not to drive tho. By the way, everyone, Sue is having Thanksgiving this year. If you are going to be there, let her know so she knows how many are coming. Thanks, Sue, for doing it, I know I will enjoy it a lot. That's it from this DiSanto household. Nana

I was thinking of you- always excitement and a little apprehension at the same time to start new- hope it all turns out great. It is so nice being close to work- I am 3 miles from work and though I can't leave for lunch it's nice to have a SHORT drive, especially in the snow!
Give your lovely daughter a hug for me and tell her how much I love her!

Thanks Karen....day was long and tiring sitting in a classroom for Orientation from 8 to 4:30 and get to do it again tomorrow, and then start new hours 8:30 to 5 on Wednesday. The fall back screws me up totally every year and yes still on the 4 - 4:30 schedule for getting up and working on changing that! Since it only takes me 4 minutes to get to work now, and loved being able to come home for lunch and make a sandwich and chill for 20 minutes or so, so that in and of itself is great especially when the snow starts to fall.

Put my back out Friday so babying that with heat/ice/muscle relaxers as I don't get new insurance until December so praying my luck of good things keeps going....for a month more anyways.

Kate was here this weekend so that was awesome. Ans going away to PA this weekend for a getaway with Rob and looking very forward to that.

That's about it from this DiSanto household.
