01/19/2009: "Say a little prayer..."

shaunpray (122k image)

Shaun was out riding snowmobiles when he hit a rut and was thrown from his machine. They think he dislocated his shoulder and broke his clavicle. Say a prayer he heals quickly and it isn't too serious. Another athlete out of sports for awhile! This is way to many broken bones- Shaun, Kameron, Josh- drink more milk boys!

Well Shaun welcome to the "boys" club! I think that's why I had girls! Get better soon - hell of a way to get Kate to wait on you!!

Katrina you kill me..all are concerned for Shaun and you are worried he looks like a convict! God how I love you! Shaun glad news was good. He texted me the other night to let me know as Kate has been working and a clinic this weekend for lacross, and me doing improvements as showed the house again this weekend...sorry I didn't get back here and thanks Kate for keeping everyone informed.

Shaun, I'm so sorry to hear you got hurt... man, what is it with our family this year... me, and then Kam, and now Shaun? I think we all need to become lazy bums and not do anything and then none of us will get hurt. Anyway, Heal fast buddy! We are thinking about you and we know Kate will take good care of you!

Get well and mend soon Shaun. We keep you in our prayers.

This kid is tough and he will come thru this like he comes through everything that he has had to face, with a smile on his face and looking forward to the future when he will once again stand on the diving board. We are all proud of you, Shaun, and know you will still have that smile on your face. You probably need to have your boo boo kissed by all the DiSanto and Bailey women. Love ya, Nana

Oh man... That really stinks! We are all thinking of you and hope for the best. It will be a long recovery- just hang in there.

It is hard to work hard and then not be able to see it through to the end and feel the victory for all that hard work- but we are happy he is ok and pray there is not lasting damage. Kate- take care of our boy and give him lots of loving!

Please give him a big hug and tell him we are thinking of him and that he needs to get well soon. AH- to be young and think you can't ever get hurt. Hope everything works out good for him and keep us posted. Can you post an address so we can send him a card? thanks.

Well he broke his scapula (shoulder bone) and had a CT Scan this morning to see how bad the break and if any of the tendons (or should I say how many) were torn and this will decide if surgery is needed. His Mom stopped at my office this morning at the hospital while he was in the CT Scan and see surgeon again tomorrow after school. Just stinks as he made Sectionals the first week of the swimming season and being a senior and first time making sectionals he now won't be able to dive. We will keep you posted.
