03/17/2009: "Green Beer..."

greenbeer (149k image)

We set out for a St. Patty's meal...we went to Molly Darcy's (not very good food) but Linda had fish & chips and I had Corn Beef & Cabbage and as you can see- green beer!

We did make it to the BrickOven to check out the antipasto and I have to say...the DiSanto version is much better. As always, we had to visit Margaritaville and had a hurricane and a cheeseburger! Last night we had a ultimate California Pizza which was very good. We hope to make the beach today- it has been raining since we arrived but has stopped today. So hope everyone has a great St Patrick's Day!

I made some Irish beef for the restaurant. Actually it is Italian beef but it has green peppers in it and since it was St. Pattys day we called it Irish beef. It all went. Yippee. Mom

Spent the afternoon with Bill at a nice Irish Pub! I too had some green beer, plus a couple Irish Whiskeys. It was fun. Delaney and Kay went also went to there favorite Irish joint, McDonalds.

We started by going to Matty's soccer game. She didn't play very much because she's been sick, but they have a good looking team and they were fun to watch. I'm hoping to go to more games now that she plays later and I will try to get pictures.

After, we sought out some frosty beverages... we did not have green beer, nor did we end up in an Irish Pub... we wanted to stay close to home b/c it's safer, so we went to a pool hall about a mile from home instead. We had some beers and played pool for a while, but we were actually quite well behaved (it was a school night after all). Kris came and joined us for one but then wanted to get home to sick little Matty. We had fun though. And Matty we hope you feel better... especially for the next game where she plays against her friend Payton... I want you well enough so you can kick her butt!

I'm so sad I won't be drinking green beer tonight, I can't drink on my meds. :(
