04/15/2009: "Don't judge a book by it's cover..."

Britain’s Got Talent’s third season debuted Saturday, and already the show has a breakout star: Susan Boyle ,an unemployed woman who’s “nearly 48,” talks about her cat, and says she’s “never been kissed.” You can guess how that’s going to turn out since she dreams of being a singer and compares herself to (actually talented) British musical theater star Elaine Paige.

Watch her audition in front of Simon Cowell and the other judges, including Piers Morgan; what she does to Simon Cowell is almost more remarkable than her singing.

Too often we dismiss things that aren't pretty or perfect when in reality- it could be the real prize.

I listened to Elaine Paige (her idol) and I think she is SO much better...I hope she makes it big!

I honestly cry everytime I hear her sing! Brits can be very mean judgemental people and god bless her she put them in their places by being simply who she is - if that's not inspirational I do not know what is!

I watch the audience and judges snear and wondered why humans are so mean and why looks mean so much and then when the see money- we can jump on board and support you. I wonder how much they will make her change? Her voice brought tears to my eyes.

WOW! She was amazing! And I loved her cheeky attitude when she got out on stage swinging her little hips. Her singing brought tears to my eyes! You go Susan Boyle!
