Wild Witches Unite

This year we did something a little different and we gave witch names to each person based off their nicknames... some fit perfectly. We thought everyone might like to know our names, so without further adieu, meet our witchy women:

So hot in her feathery hat, she'll burn you with her spells.

Explain this...

Infographic-Gas-R (41k image)

We all saw these prices, well Missouri's gas is now $2.07 and dropping everyday. Why? Holidays are approaching, refineries are still damaged and yet gas is coming down. Now don't get me wrong- I love they are going down but why were they up so high? Who's making all this money or are they trying to influence a vote. After all, Missouri is a "swing state".

In the late nineteenth century, Missouri was a major electoral power: St. Louis was the third largest city in the country, behind New York and Philadelphia. In the twentieth century, Missouri has become politically important for a different reason: In every election but one the state has voted for the winner of the presidential election. (In 1956, the state picked Adlai Stevenson, from neighboring Illinois, over Dwight Eisenhower.) In the last three presidential elections, the state has come closer than any other to matching the exact margin of victory.

Well I guess we will see what happens Novemeber 5 to prices...I just find it strange but will continue to enjoy while they are down!

HALLOWEEN CANDY RECALLED...

626-gold-coins- (39k image)

Sherwood brand Pirate's Gold Milk Chocolate coins are being recalled due to the fact that they contain Melamine, the ingredient in milk product that has caused many infant deaths in China. These candies are sold at Costco, as well as many bulk and dollar stores. Please make sure to check your childrens Halloween candy and DO NOT LET THEM EAT THE PIRATE COINS (you know the ones wrapped in the shiny gold foil) and please let other parents know about this!

Gee something different but yet another IT'S OFFICIAL!!!! LOL

2629642995_6aa0e4e03e (87k image)

Well God is telling me something and I am so GREATFUL to be catching it all! I gave my two week notice at Clifton Springs Hospital today so next Friday will be my last day there and start Monday November 3 at Geneva General Hospital! I will go from being a Account Processor to a Patient Representative II. It is a little more money and a guaranteed raise every year and all other benefits are same as I have now. Minus the really crappy drive in the winter let alone the wear/tear on the car and gas money! So when I sell the house will more than likely look for an apartment close to hospital on Main Street where I can walk to work, there are some really nice older homes in that area that have apartments so....seems like since I change my name nothing but good thing are happening IMAGINE THAT! Sure do feel very strong, empowered, and confident and this is all good and feels good. Been a long time coming. One door closes and many others open I am a true believer in that!

Had an offer on the house this weekend. Was way too low and someone else looked at it on Saturday so not in a hurry and believe that will happen exactly when it is suppose to and not a momment before. Not sure of all of God's plan but so far I'm liking it and OK with it all. So that's about it from me. Kate was here all weekend and that was fun. We had Nana and Poppy over for Nana's Annual Birthday dinner so that was special. She submitted her application for National Honor Society which given she had close to a 97 grade average at end of year last year she should do fine getting in. Had her SAT test on Saturday and this next Saturday has a LAX tournament in Ithaca. So she has been a busy busy girl plus working.

So that's it from this Di Santo Household until the next "IT's OFFICIAL" which will be the House is SOLD!
Til then.......

Furniture in...

MP_Peninsula (88k image)

Well we had the furniture delivered today- we went from an L shaped single desk to what they call a peninsula desk so it can now accommodate two. It also is much more decorative and gives the room a much nicer feel. We also put in two matching bookshelves . This new look came with scraping the ceiling, painting the walls, shampooing the carpets putting in a new baseboard, ceiling trim and new closet doors. I can't take pictures as my camera is packed away in a bin as the room is not totally put back together. We will take pictures when we get done.

Columbus Day...

Columbus (66k image)

Today we take for granted that the world is round. In the fifteenth century, however, most people believed the world was flat. Though Columbus is created with discovering America (how can you discover someplace some one else already lives at?) He did prove the world to be round! Today- some have a day off- for some, we work!

In My Arms...

babyblues (129k image)

Your baby blues, So full of wonder
Your curlicues, Your contagious smile
And as I watch, You start to grow up
All I can do is hold you tight
Knowing...
Clouds will rage and Storms will race in
But you will be safe in my arms
Rains will pour down, Waves will crash all around
But you will be safe in my arms

Story books, Are full of fairy-tales
Of kings and queens, And the bluest skies
My heart is torn just in knowing
You'll someday see The truth for lies
When the Clouds will rage and
Storms will race in
But you will be safe in my arms
Rains will pour down
Waves will crash all around
But you will be safe in my arms

Castles they might crumble, Dreams may not come true
But you are never all alone, Cause I will always
Always love you...

When was the last time you colored?

Crayons (217k image)

Maybe we should develop a Crayola bomb as our next secret weapon. A happiness weapon. A beauty bomb. And every time a crisis developed, we would launch one. It would explode high in the air - explode softly - and send thousands, millions, of little parachutes into the air. Floating down to earth - boxes of Crayolas. And we wouldn't go cheap, either - not little boxes of eight. Boxes of sixty-four, with the sharpener built right in. With silver and gold and copper, magenta and peach and lime, amber and umber and all the rest. And people would smile and get a little funny look on their faces and cover the world with their imagination.

Finally, Cancun Pictures are Up

A week ago we went to Cancun, Mexico. David had a business trip for the first half and I tagged along. We had a lot of fun but it was way too short. We went to the club "Coco Bongo" which was AWESOME! People flew through the air and everything was a performance, including Elvis, Moulon Rouge, Mambo Number 5, Beetlejuice, Spiderman (who got hurt and fell off his bungee), and amazing acrobatics that reminded me of Cirque de Soleil. We also took an AllTourNative adventure which included visiting the Mayan Ruins of Tullum, biking, zip-lining in the jungle, swimming/snorkeling in cenotes, and witnessing a Mayan Purification Ceremony. Our last full day we took a day trip to see the amazing ruins at Chichen Itza... now these ruins were unbelieveable (once we got there... that'sa whole 'nother story)! You can see in the pictures how the weather starts to change and we got stuck in a horrible storm and we got soaked. All in all, it was a great trip and we wished we had stayed longer. I only wish I had found a day to make it to the beach! How do you go to Cancun and not hit the beach? That again, is a whole 'nother story (Coco Bongo sorta ruined that for me... too much tequila).

Politico

veep-debate (39k image)

So, where is everyone politically these days? I've been following the race, and watched the debate last night. What did you guys think of it?

I was actually a little impressed on the way that she handled herself, she debated fairly well given how little she knows. At least she didn't sputter and have blank stairs like she has in her interviews. I still think she dodged and didn't answer questions. She only got involved in the discussions were she really had been properly prepped... because of that she was a little like a puppet I thought. I did like how Biden clearly pointed out that he was going to give his opinion, wether the president followed it or not. I think it's good he'd be willing to stand up and bring his experience (which he proved he has much more than her) in to help. Palin would just get walked over and brushed aside... she's there strictly for the media and will be used as such if they did win. She's a joke. If the president did die, she'd make a terrible president.

Seriously though, I wanted to hurt her with the Maverick talk (she used the word Maverick 22 times). What about her facial expressions, but they were laughable!! She had two looks, extreme joy and serious. She was so fake, like a robot. She acted like a happy excited child when she could make a point, like she was going to get a treat for being a good girl. Laughable!
